Dear Fellow Members:

The latest in the Johnson's string of
successful social events was the Lobster Bake last Saturday.  In addition to Rodney and Jennifer, we are indebted to Hank Gioiella and our able staff for a wonderful evening.

The next is, alas, our Season End Picnic, Sunday, September 8 from 1-3 P.M.  Our Vice Commodore has planned a Fishing Derby for children ages 5-12 before the picnic starting at 12 Noon.  He'll have rods and reels on hand, snappers to catch, and prizes for the lucky anglers.

I've enclosed an application for a gasoline credit card with Sunoco, our current supplier.  Texaco, our supplier for many years, has been acquired and is being phased out of existence by Shell, which has no maritime program.  Our distributor has just advised us that Sunoco intends to discontinue honoring Texaco cards.  This application is for a basic card such as Texaco provided but Sunoco also offers a corporate card with some added features as well as a Sunoco/Mastercard featuring financial incentives to its users.  Applications for the latter are available at the Dockmaster's office.

There is also a General Meeting on Monday, the 9th at 8 P.M.

I look forward to seeing you there.

                                     Sincerely,

                                     Bill Nolte
