Dear Fellow Members:

Welcome to the 2004 season!

The first General Meeting will be at the Piedmont Club at 8:00 PM, Monday, May 3, 2004. A representative from the Police Department will give a talk on new security and safety regulations for Long Island Sound.

After a rough winter and many repairs, Manager Jim Baker and Dockmaster George Kelsey have worked diligently to get everything ready to go.

The opening day is scheduled for Saturday, May 1, 2004. Guard service will be on duty starting May 8th.

A tag sale/swap day has been scheduled for Saturday, May 8, at 10 AM — A chance to clean out your unused boating and fishing gear.

A reminder regarding the necessary documents needed for access to the Club: All vehicles must have a valid beach sticker. (The fact that you are a Boat Club member is not a valid reason for entrance to the beach.) Ramp stickers are necessary to use the boat ramp at all times during the boating season.

All boat slips, kayak slips and lockers must be occupied by June 15, otherwise they will be reassigned.

Following is a schedule for the parties to be held this year:

June 6, 1 PM Opening Day;

July 18, 1 PM Midseason;

August 29, 1 PM End of season.

Sept. 18 Lobster Bake 6 PM featuring "Gunsmoke" Country Band (200 tickets available at $40 ea/$75 couple).

To learn of the latest updates at the club, why not plan on attending the May 3rd meeting.

Reminders: All children under 12 must wear life jackets when on docks.

Gasoline and other flammable materials prohibited in lockers.

Sincerely,

Tom Williams, Commodore
