The Executive Committee is calling a Special General Meeting in consideration of and in order to convene a vote by the general membership on the following 2 issues:

·          The acquisition of a launch (boat) and associated expenses to implement a launch service starting in the 2011 boating season.

·          Changing the By-Law that concerns the way slips and other facilities are awarded to members.

Launch Service

The Executive Committee has determined that there is a need for a launch service based on survey data and member interest.  The Executive would like to establish this service to provide another option while members are wait listed for a slip, or would like to keep their boat in Darien waters.

The vote will address the following:

·          Cost of acquiring the launch   $25,000

·          Docking expenses                     $ 3,000

Operating expenses, staffing needs, hours of operation and a Q&A will all be addressed at the meeting.

By-Law Change:
