Dear Members,

The Executive Committee is calling a Special General Meeting on October 7th @ 8:00PM at the Piedmont Club upper level in consideration of and in order to convene a vote by the general membership on the following issue:

The reconstruction of the Club House Deck, Footings, Railings, Shed Roof Line, and Financing of this $250,000 project.

The vote(s) will address the following:

·         Approving the reconstruction of the damaged facilities.

·         Financing the cost associated with the project.

At the September 9th General Meeting, the Nominating Committee presented the following slate of officers for the 2013-2014 season:

Treasurer:                         Tom Lochtefeld
Financial Secretary:           Martin Milewski

Under Article IX of the By Laws, the slate of officers will be voted on at the November Annual Meeting. This meeting takes place on Monday, November 4 at 7:00pm at The Piedmont Club. There will be heavy hors d’oeuvres and an open bar (beer and wine free, cash for liquor).

The Darien Boat Club will officially close on Sunday November 3rd. Please plan ahead and make sure that your boat is off the dock by that date, or otherwise risk fines and disciplinary actions. The racks, lockers, and chain must also be vacated by November 3rd.
