Dear Members, We wanted to thank those who attended the General Membership meeting on May 6th, we appreciate your support. As you know The Darien Boat Club is now open for boats, kayaks, etc. Currently the Club is operational from 8 am until 7 pm (these hours will be adjusted as the season progresses). The gasoline and fuel line tests are completed and we will be able to start pumping gas this weekend (Remember we only take Sunoco, MasterCard and Visa for gas purchases). The Launch service is only available on a part time basis, so please check with the Dockmaster as to your needs. The new carts have arrived and are in place, 2 carts are on the South side and 2 on the North side. Please carry your items through the Club house, as trying to push the carts through may damage the new doors. AGAIN: Here’s what to expect at the club, at the moment. There is water on the docks and the rest rooms are open. There are no ice or soda machines, and there is no water fountain. The pump out station is not operational yet. We continue to work with our Professional Engineers and the Town on restoration of the deck, and will keep you posted. Also remember this season footwear is required to be worn at the club, in all public areas especially the beach and in the shallow waters.
