Dear Members, 

The next General Membership meeting is May 6 at 8 pm in the upper hall of the Piedmont club. 

The Darien Boat Club is now open for Boats, Kayaks, etc. Currently the club hours will be 8 am until 7 pm (these hours will be adjusted as the season progresses). 

Remember all paperwork (Copies of 2013/14 Registration, 2013 Insurance, and slip holder contract), must be submitted before boats are placed on the dock! 

Launch service not available, on a full time basis, please check with the Dockmaster as to your needs. 

AGAIN: Here’s what to expect at the club, at the moment. 

New carts are on order (but not delivered yet).  It may make sense to bring your Frog hooks, etc. from the Town launching ramp dock by boat. Otherwise you must walk them up and through the building by hand. No carts (when delivered) can be brought through the building; there will carts on either side. 

There is no Ice or Soda machine, we are looking into this.
Currently, there is no Water fountain.
There is water on the docks and the rest rooms are open.
The pump out station is not operational yet.
There is no gas currently available yet, as the test results have not been returned. 

We continue to work with our Professional Engineers and the Town on restoration of the deck, and will keep you posted. 

Also remember this season footwear is required to be worn at the club, in all public areas especially the beach and in the shallow waters.
