Dear Members, 

As the season comes to a close, there are still a few important dates and events to remember. 

On October 10^th at 6pm there will be a public meeting at the Darien Town Hall Auditorium to discuss the Boat Club’s application with the US Army Corps of Engineers to dredge and expand the existing docks.  This effort, if approved, will add 100 slips to the Club’s existing docks.  Please make an effort to attend this meeting and keep checking the DBC web site for updates and project progress.

The Season End Picnic has been rescheduled to Sunday October 14^th from 1-3pm due to the forecasted inclement weather.  Marty Milewski our Entertainment Chairman is always looking for volunteers, please contact him at mamilewski@aol.com if you are available to help.

The Darien Boat Club will officially close on Sunday November 4th. Please plan ahead and make sure that your boat is off the dock by that date, or otherwise risk fines and disciplinary actions. All racks and lockers must also be vacated by November 4th.

At the September 10 General Meeting, the Nominating Committee presented the following slate of officers for the 2012-2013 season:

Under Article IX of the By Laws, the slate of officers will be voted on at the November General Meeting. This meeting takes place on Monday, November 5th at 7:00pm at The Piedmont Club.
