Dear Members, I want to thank all the volunteers at the Season Opening Picnic ….We had perfect weather and a very nice turnout….Here’s the latest DBC news….. RECONSTRUCTION The ice and soda machines have been installed and we will continue to make minor improvements. As we proceed and will include such items as : outdoor shower, relocated water fountain, spot painting, and piling caps. As always we ask for your cooperation as we proceed. LAUNCH SERVICES We have extended the hours of operation from 8 am to 9 pm seven days a week. NEW COMMITTEE FOLLOW UP The Porch Committee has made a number of recommendations resulting in Deck Rules that are posted on the new bulletin board. SAFETY COURSE We have formed a committee to explore offering a ‘Safety Course’ to Kayakers/SUP riders and we will keep you advised going forward. Rob Komminsk will be the key contact for this committee. SWIM ACROSS AMERICA We are looking for volunteers to help at the Swim Across America event on Saturday June 21st. It's an open water swim in Stamford/Greenwich to raise money for cancer gene therapy and they need boaters, kayakers and paddle boarders. Please contact Paul Johnson: mailto: pdgjohnson@me.com BOAT PRESERVATION Please be reminded that each boat on the dock is required to have two fenders on each side to protect your boat as well as your neighbor's.
